Service in Action – The Power of One
We are honored to spotlight John Schoch, a long-time member of Florida Partners of the Americas and former Peace Corps volunteer whose many decades of dedication to public service and community development exemplify the enduring impact of a life rooted in service.
John will share personal stories from his volunteer work in Colombia, his professional journey as a municipal planner and Community Development Director, and his continued service through civic organizations like the Florida/Colombia Partners, Sunset Civitan Club, and Friends of Colombia.
He brings a rich perspective on international collaboration, grassroots development, and lifelong civic commitment. John will share how, through collaboration and connecting, volunteers were able to connect and continue the cycle of giving back to communities.
Purpose of the Town Hall Meeting
• Celebrate and reflect on impactful service through the lens of individual contributions.
• Engage members and friends of the Florida Chapter in meaningful dialogue on volunteerism, leadership, and community-building.
• Provide updates on current chapter initiatives, partnerships, and opportunities for involvement.
• Foster collaboration and connection among members and supporters of Partners of the Americas.
• Inspire continued action and advocacy aligned with our shared mission: connecting, serving, and empowering communities locally and globally.
